Where does the miniature firewood come from that ends up in your Solo Stove Mesa tabletop fire pit? This is a storm-damaged tree that we are currently using to make our mini firewood (and our dog wondering what the heck just happened).  We always try to use already-fallen or standing-dead trees for many reasons. 

First off, it’s a much more sustainable and responsible way to make firewood.  With so much deforestation happening already, why cut down a perfectly healthy tree just to burn it? 

Secondly, this means the wood has already dried and aged naturally with no resources spent, unlike kiln-drying which requires large amounts of gas or electricity.  We then air dry it further until it’s ready to burn in your Solo Stove Mesa / Mesa XL / outdoor pizza oven.
